Dr. Maoshing Ni, better known as Dr. Mao, is a celebrated doctor of Chinese medicine and an authority in the field of anti-aging medicine. In his new book, Secrets of Self-Healing, Dr. Mao explores how the integration of both Eastern and Western medicine can be used in everyday life to create balance between the mind and body for optimum wellness.
Based on his philosophy that well-being is the result of a balanced life, not just a healthy body, Dr. Mao says, "proper diet, physical activity, self-awareness, emotional balance, suitable work and home environments, intellectual stimulation, and spiritual growth form the foundation for well-being. Understanding these principles brings about a balanced life, which is necessary for a healthy body."
